Les Wardrop addresses the 100 Year Homecoming audience.

"It is indeed a good thing to celebrate the establishment of a faculty that has contributed so much to our community, its people, and our built environment," says Dr. Szathmáry.

"Canada's New Government is proud to support the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Engineering as it enters its second century of engineering excellence," stated MP Mr, Fletcher, on behalf of the Honourable Rona Ambrose, President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of Western Economic Diversification. "Together, we are building a sustainable, competitive advantage based on science and technology, and the skilled workers whose aspirations, ambitions and talents bring innovations to life."

Dr. Douglas Ruth, Dean, says: "It seems fitting that we are able to celebrate 100 years of the Faculty of Engineering just as our new Engineering & Information Technology Complex nears completion. We would not be celebrating 100 years or this new facility without the support of many individuals and institutions, so during our Centennial Celebration, we will be unveiling our Donor Wall that will recognize all the financial gifts that helped to make the EITC possible."
