CEM AGM and Golf Tournament 2007
They are the champions. Tournament Chairman Rick Haldane-Wilsone awards the CEM Golf Trophy to the victorious foursome of Roy Dansen, Blair Lyons, Dan Campbell and Brian Rocan of Lakeside Process Controls for the 2007 CEM Golf Classic.
Consulting Engineers of Manitoba members and guests assembled at Larters at St. An- drews Golf and Country Club to attend CEM’s Annual General Meeting and enjoy a day of golf and networking on May 29, 2007.
The day began with the business of CEM’s AGM, where outgoing President Roger Rempel provided a review of the past year’s activities with the organization. It was a busy year for CEM with the establishment of a series of new initiatives including promotion of Best Practices for retaining Consulting Engineers, enhanced government liaison and commu- nications, greater involvement with engineering students through career fairs and the new CEM Student Chapter as well as numerous other initiatives in play through our focused committees and working groups.
CEM committees and Manitoba ACEC Representative Tom Wingrove delivered summaries of actions and issues of importance for CEM member firms.
President Brant provides a CEM President’s Gavel to Past-President Roger Rempel
Incoming CEM President began his term by delivering his President’s Strategy and President Brant reminded the membership that 2007-08 represents a special year for CEM as it marks our 30th year of operations as an organization.
The AGM wrapped up by late morning as members and invited guests enjoyed a BBQ lunch followed by 18 holes of golf and a Golf Awards dinner. Tournament champions were awarded their trophy and scores of prizes were awarded to those participating in the CEM Golf Classic.
