Join us for the official launch gala of CEM's newest committee, the Young Professionals! The evening will begin with networking over drinks and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a dinner and presentation on QBS (Qualifications Based Selection) by Andrew Steeves, P. Eng., M. Eng, MBA.

Mr. Steeves is the Vice-President of Administration for the ADI Group of Companies and has over twenty years of experience. As well, Mr. Steeves is a member of the ACEC Procurement Committee, the FIDIC QBS Task Force, and CSA’s Infrastructure Advisory Committee.

QBS is quickly becoming the procurement method of choice; legislation specifying procurement based on QBS has been passed federally in the United States and provincially in Quebec. The House of Commons Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates recently recommended the legislation of QBS as the required federal procurement process in Canada.

A Young Professional is any engineer, geoscientist, or engineering or geosciences technologist or technician with up to ten years experience in their applicable field.
